Architecture Design Identity

The headquarters of Warner Music Germany is located in Hamburg’s 100-year-old historical warehouse district. A design typology was developed which created an open plan stretching from the canal to the street façade with cellular offices parallel to the open plan area, providing natural ventilation and dramatic views through the space. The reception, café and event area on the ground floor adopts a maritime theme in wood and steel, influenced by the nearby Hamburg harbour.
The presentation of Warner Music at the International Music Fair Popkomm in Berlin sets a tone of reduction and quality during turbulent times for the music industry. The play with form and colour support the major record label’s corporate identity. The quality of design, material and detail offers a sense of stability and security for its artists. The stand is a careful composition of listening stations, bar and lounge area.
